Cloudy Wing Virus

CWV

Cloudy wing virus (CWV) is a little-studied, small, icosahedral virus commonly found in honey bees, especially in collapsing colonies infested by Varroa mites (varroa destructor), providing circumstantial evidence that the mite may act as a vector. It cannot be propagated in larvae or pupae. It has an unpredictable incidence, no regular associations with other pathogens or pests.
